Morning Service 10.30am 28 Feb '21 with Jesmond Parish Church, Newcastle UK
This morning Ramzi Adcock will be preaching on 'Help from the Spirit' from Romans 8: 26-27 - The profound and comforting truth is that the Holy Spirit himself intercedes for us to ensure that we reach our final destination. Those who are Gods children can be sure of God’s protective guidance when weak and weary in the journey. Ramzi Adcock explores how the Holy Spirit stands with us and sustains us in the midst of darkness and trials and that by his help we will make it home. This is God’s work – Father son and Holy Spirit. We are weak, but he is most certainly not!
Richard Restall's children’s talk is on ‘Unfinished' from Romans 8: 14 - How can we know that we have become God's children? Because He gives us something. Everyone who joins God's family through Jesus, is given the gift of the Holy Spirit. It's like God unzips us and the Spirit of Jesus gets inside us. And when He's there, He begins working in us. He begins changing us from the inside out, making us more and more like Jesus himself. That's the journey we're on. Richard Restall tells us that when we worry, and doubt, we can cry out to our heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit joins in within us, saying: "Yep. That's right. He's your Dad. He's the one who loves you and cares for you and will not let you down. You are His, and always will be. Trust Him."
