Keswick '16 - David Jackman 5: The Anointed Conqueror
Isaiah 59-61. From the series 'Meeting the Lord Jesus in Isaiah'. Isaiah is the great evangelist of the Old Testament, not only ruthlessly exposing the sin of God's people but revealing God's remedy in the Messiah and pointing us to great David's greater Son. With remarkable prophetic insight and moving poetic language, Isaiah portrays the Holy One of Israel, the Righteous King, the Sovereign Shepherd, the Sacrificial Servant and the Anointed Conqueror – pointing us to Jesus, to the call to holy living, and to the future perfection of the heavenly Jerusalem.
