Books to help ground a new Christian in God's Word and develop habits that will lead to a life lived wholly for their Lord.

Here are 5 top books for new Christians:

1 Taking God at His Word by Kevin de Young: A new and highly readable introduction to the foundation of our faith.

2 A Fresh Start by John Chapman: If you’ve been looking for a book that simply and clearly explains what it means to be a Christian, either for yourself or for someone else, look no further!

3 Christian Beliefs by Wayne Grudem: This is a great reader-friendly guide to twenty key Christian beliefs that every Christian needs to know.

4 Don’t Waste Your Life: John Piper gives a passionate appeal to avoid living a life of triviality and selfishness. Be warned, be challenged, be excited to live the rest of your life for Christ and not waste it.

And 5 Knowing God by JI Packer. Quite simply a classic. A bit meat-ier, but so, so helpful. Well worth the effort. Chapter 19 on being Sons of God is worth every penny alone!
