The Bible Project: Titus Overview

Titus was a greek follower of Jesus and a trusted companion and coworker of Paul. He had helped Paul with a number of crises in the past and Paul has now asssigned him to Crete to restore order to a network of house-churches. The Cretans were notorious for treachery, greed and sexual corruption. Most of the men had served as mercenaries to the highest bidder. But Paul saw it as a great place to start a network of churches. This letter to Titus instructed him on how to complete his mission, including direction for choosing church elders and teaching sound doctrine.
